MuriEl pÉreZ studied art history and history before become intensly engaged with her passion for textiles. She comes from a family of Swiss-Venezuelan artists and grew up in New York, Switzerland and Venezuela. She spent her childhood in her father’s atelier, learning from him a playful and audacious approach to colour and form. Fascinated by the simultaneous simplicity and complexity of weaving, she has studied the craft for many years and weaves and designs her own works.
